Raw Results 8-20-18
The show starts out with Roman Reigns heading down to the ring as the new WWE Universal champion. He states that he’s going to defend the title starting tonight and that he’s going to give Finn Balor the chance to win the title back tonight.
Constable Corbin comes out and states too thin rains and the crowd that rains will not be facing Finn Balor and that Finn Balor will be facing Constable Corbin due to all what happened at SummerSlam and that Corbin does not feel like he got a fair match or whatever.
Kurt Angle heads down to the ring to settle all of this situation. Kurt Angle makes the match between Finn Balor and Roman Reigns as the main event tonight and he also puts Constable Corbin in a match with Bobby Lashley starting now.
Match 1. Constable Baron Corbin vs. Bobby Lashley — Bobby Lashley picked up the victory.
Backstage Kurt Angle was watching the match and all of a sudden Paul Heyman shows up to tell Kurt that Brock Lesnar wants his contractually obligated rematch. Paul Heyman informs Kurt Angle that he wants the rematch clause at Hell in the Cell with Kurt angle’s saying forget about it.
Constable Corbin comes out starts complaining to Kurt Angle about he’s tired of the way Kurt angle’s been treating him. Danny threatens to go talk to Stephanie McMahon about the way Kurt Angle was treating constable Corbin.
They showed a video package of The Undertaker vs. Triple H throughout the years. In preparation for building up the last match ever at the Superstar Showdown events coming up soon.
Triple H comes down to the ring talk about not only the fact that he enjoys the business so much that he will be trying to make it survive for years and years to come.
He’s going to be doing this until the day he dies but he also talks about his upcoming match with Undertaker at Superstar Showdown in Australia.
They show a recap of the Lesnar and Reigns match from last night’s SummerSlam.
Match 2. Dean Ambrose vs Dolph Ziggler — Dean Ambrose hit the Dirty Deeds to pick up the victory.
The entire women’s division is surrounding the ring and then Stephanie McMahon has down to the ring to call out Ronda Rousey and present her with the Women’s Championship. Ronda talks all the women and tells them that she will be a fighting champion and that every week she’s going to defend it against the different women in the women’s division. Stephanie McMahon start stalking some trash and Ronda Rousey grab Stephanie and tries to break Stephanie’s arm.
Match 3. Finn Balor vs Roman Reigns — Braun strowman music hits and he heads down to the ring which provides the distraction for Roman Reigns and Finn Balor goes on the attack but Reigns ends up picking up the victory. Braun strowman heads into the ring to cash in his money in the bank contract but all of a sudden the shield music it’s and Ambrose and Rollins head to the ring to have the back of Roman Reigns and they proceeded to attack Braun strowman. It is important to note that the Bell never rang signifying the start of the money in the bank contract cash in.
